Overview
Justice sits on a stone throne between two pillars, holding a sword in her right hand and scales in her left. She wears a crown and a red robe — the color of action and accountability. Unlike the Strength card where instinct is tamed through gentleness, Justice shows that truth is established through impartial intellect. The sword is double-edged, indicating that the same truth cuts both ways; what you measure to others will be measured to you. The scales weigh not just actions but intentions. The card is also associated with the Egyptian goddess Ma'at, whose feather was weighed against the heart of the deceased. When Justice appears, you are being asked to take responsibility, to render a fair judgment in a dispute, or to accept the consequences of past choices. The truth may be uncomfortable but it sets you free.
