A lobster crawls from a pool in the foreground, invoking the Crustacean of Cancer — the sign ruled by the Moon. A wolf and a dog bay at the moon, representing the wild and domesticated aspects of mind that both respond to the lunar influence. The Moon is the card of the unconscious, of dreams, fears, and the unseen undercurrents of psychic life. The towers evoke the pillars of the High Priestess, but the veil between them is gone — you are now walking within the mystery, not observing it from outside.
