Overview
Temperance shows an angel standing with one foot on land and one in water, pouring liquid endlessly between two cups. She has no wings, but a sunburst crowns her forehead and a path leads up through mountains to that same sun. The iris in the foreground invokes the goddess Iris, messenger between heaven and earth. The angel blends without spilling, mixes without diluting — the practice of true alchemy. Temperance is the first card after Death, showing how the soul integrates after a major transformation. It is the card of moderation, balance, and patient integration. When Temperance appears, the chaos is subsiding. What was extreme is finding its middle. You are being asked to practice the art of blending opposites — work and rest, discipline and surrender, healing and creating — rather than oscillating between them.
