Overview
The Seven of Swords shows a thief creeping away from a tented camp, carrying five swords while two remain behind. His posture is stealthy and his face is turned โ there is no confrontation, only escape. The Seven of Swords is the card of strategy, deception, and the courage to act indirectly. The card often appears when someone is being less than fully honest, when stealth is being used to achieve goals, or when an unconventional approach is needed. The card asks you to verify what is being hidden and from whom. Sometimes stealth serves honesty; sometimes it serves Lying. Discernment is the test.
